Alpha State helped the City of Charles Sturt develop a new brand and communications device for the future strategic vision of the city. ‘Imagine Tomorrow’ includes an interactive microsite and accompanying smart phone app allowing community members to provide thoughts ideas and feedback on their visions for the future of their city.

City of Charles Sturt – Woodville Town Hall Display

The Woodville Town Hall has served many purposes since its initial construction in 1903. During the ‘Golden Age’ of cinema its newly constructed hall served as an ornately decorated movie theatre. Situated in the Town Hall, this series of displays tells the story of the films it showed, the machinery of the projection room and the 1927 opening night.

Aaron Neaves is a clinical psychologist specialising in children’s cases and needed a new identity to represent his practice.

Fiercely maternal (and paternal), elephants will protect and nurture their young at all costs. A symbol of wisdom in Asian cultures and also known for their memory, intelligence and ability to grieve, elephants are thought to be on par with cetaceans and hominoids.

Aristotle once said the elephant was “the beast which passeth all others in wit and mind”.

Couple this with the playful use of the jigsaw puzzle and we have an identity that perfectly reflects Aaron Neaves’ empathy, understanding and interaction with children.

As a supporter of Autism SA, we at Alpha State donated our time to this worthy cause. Joining us in our efforts were five Vimeo, Flickr and YouTube members from the Netherlands to New York, who donated their videos and music. This was the result.

The symbolism within the ’Q’ evokes the universal on/off symbol that is seen on most modern electronic equipment. From another perspective, a coffee cup becomes apparent.

This symbol not only represents the products that eQuip’d supplies and maintains, but it also represents the simplicity of the business’ service.

Individuals living with autism have an under or over sensitivity to the senses and experience them differently. As a proud supporter of the Autism SA Charity Ball, Alpha State have produced a range of promotional materials for the event. The concept we have developed uses a feather and petal to create a heart shape, as love is the ‘common sense’ we all share.

Includes: Three course meal, beverages from Yalumba Wines and Coopers Brewery and performances from Adelaide’s popular band Wasabi and jazz artist Aaron James
